How to Add HubSpot forms to WordPress pages and posts

In the last post, we learned about installing and integrating WordPress with HubSpot. With this plugin, we can use some of the HubSpot functionalities in the WordPress dashboard itself. For example, one doesn’t need to go to the HubSpot account to create forms or live chat.

How to create Hubspot forms in WordPress and add them on pages and posts

  • Login to WordPress Dashboard
  • Go to HubSpot > Forms.
  • Click on the “Create a free form” button in the top-right corner.
  • Choose form type
    • Embedded form ( for this guide, we are choosing this option)
    • Standalone Page
    • Pop-up box
    • Dropdown banner
    • Slide-in left box
    • Slide-in right box
  • Click the “Next” button.
  • Select a template – You can choose the blank template to build a form from scratch or
  • Select a pre-made template like
    • Registration
    • Contact Us
    • Newsletter Signup
    • Support
    • eBook download
    • Event registration…. etc
  • Click the “Start” button.
  • Now you can add pre-made standard fields like City, State, Phone Number to the form. You can also create your custom fields from the “Create New” tab.
  • In the right pan, click on the given field to set its properties like
    • Label
    • Help Text
    • Placeholder
    • Default Value
    • Marking hidden field
  • With the upgraded plan, you can set conditional logic too.
  • Click and “Update” button. The form will automatically be linked to HubSpot Contacts.
  • Click the “Publish” button to publish the form.
  • A pop-up will show a form shortcode, which we will add in posts or pages.

How to add HubSpot form shortcode to WordPress pages and posts

  • Copy the shortcode from the previous step.
  • There are two ways to add the shortcode.
    • Directly paste the shortcode in the page editor.
    • Or use the Gutenberg block and choose the form name in the dropdown.
  • Save the page
  • To check the form submission, go to Hubspot > Forms.
  • Hover over a form, click the “Actions” dropdown menu, and select “View submissions.”
